About us

we are the father's house.

A multicultural, non-denominational Christian church on the southeast side of Indianapolis.

Mission

building a stronger church tomorrow by making stronger disciples today

through apostolic leadership, teaching true biblical values and demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit in a ministry of excellence.

Vision

a strong, unified body of christ

that reflects the heart and likeness of heaven on earth.

What we're about

three things.

living jesus.

When Jesus left, He said it was good that He was going, because of who He would send to us. The Holy Spirit is here, He's real, and He wants you to stop just surviving and start really living!

learning life.

Walking with God is a process. We've all fallen short of the glory of God, and we want you to know we've been there! We are committed to being a home for those who are lost and don't know they have a home to come back to.

loving people.

“Don't just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.” Romans 12:9–11

Beliefs

what we believe.

  1. God

There is one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

  2. Revelation

God has revealed Himself to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God; through the Holy Scriptures; and through all of creation itself.

  3. Mankind

Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory.

  4. The Fall

When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God.

  5. Salvation

Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions.

  6. The Church

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  7. Resurrection

Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.

Dr. Chris Holland preaching

Our founder & our story

dr. christopher t. holland

Founder · Pastor | Worshipper | Missionary

From childhood poverty and hardship to preaching the gospel before thousands around the world, Dr. Christopher T. Holland's life is a remarkable testimony of redemption, perseverance, and the transforming power of God.

Born in Durham, North Carolina, in 1965, Dr. Holland sensed a calling to preach at just eleven years old. A difficult childhood led him far from the faith. Through extraordinary encounters with the Holy Spirit, life-threatening battles with cancer, and miraculous healing, his life took a dramatic turn toward the calling he had spent years resisting.

His journey into ministry began with service. After years of supporting other pastors and leading a church in Marietta, Ohio, Dr. Holland and his wife, Vicki, answered God's call to establish The Father's House in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 2002.

TFH began in a Holiday Inn hotel room. New believers came over from the bar on the other side of the wall and were baptized in the hotel's swimming pool.

Today, Dr. Holland's decades of ministry have taken him across the US and into Peru, Mexico, Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire, Colombia, Argentina, Israel, South Africa and more.

Alongside his wife, Vicki Jean Holland, whose faithful service has been foundational to their shared ministry, Dr. Holland continues to carry the mantra that has defined his journey:

“Living Jesus, learning life, and loving people.”
